Job Summary
Deep Fission is seeking an NRC Emergency Protection Licensing Engineer to lead the development, integration, and licensing of emergency preparedness (EP), emergency planning zones (EPZ), and protective action strategies for advanced reactor deployment. This role will focus on ensuring compliance with NRC emergency preparedness requirements while advancing innovative, risk-informed approaches enabled by Deep Fission's enhanced safety case.
This position operates at the intersection of reactor safety analysis, accident consequence evaluation, and regulatory licensing. The engineer will translate accident analysis and source term data into defensible emergency planning strategies and licensing deliverables, supporting engagement with NRC staff throughout the licensing lifecycle.
