The Emergency Preparedness Coordinator acts as a liaison between the health system and area Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers. You will also serve as an advocate of the hospital with local, regional, and state EMS agencies.
· Assist with hospital disaster preparedness and serves as the Liaison with Emergency Management Coordinator.
· Assist with on-campus emergency preparedness.
· Assist in coordinating appropriate use of employed Techs and/or paramedics in hospital.
· Develop and implement a business plan, driving service line growth, and improving operations in terms of quality and processes.
· Ensure collaboration across all care settings within the facility as it relates to EMS and disaster preparedness.
· Responsible for the planning, organization, development and direction for the overall operation of the Security Department in accordance with and federal, state, and local standards and guidelines to assure that the highest degree of patient care is maintained at all times.
What qualifications you will need:
Three years of current Emergency Room, EMS safety or security management experience and HAZMAT Training experience. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, team facilitation and project management
ACLS and PALS certification through American Red Cross (AHA and military certifications accepted) within 60 days of hire. CPI certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Ability to maintain a mature, professional manner and demonstrate sound judgment when interacting with patients, physicians, hospital personnel and the public.
