Join UCSF as Emergency Radiologists - Deliver Exceptional Clinical Care Across a Premier Academic Radiology Program

The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking full-time Emergency Radiologists to join the expanded Emergency Radiology Division serving Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) and UCSFs Parnassus affiliates. This growing section provides consultation and diagnostic services for San Franciscos only Level I trauma center, the Parnassus Emergency Room, and UCSF acute care clinics.

Selected candidates will be appointed at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, In Residence, or HS Clinical series, depending on qualifications and interests.

Successful candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research, and possess strong interpersonal skills. Faculty in the Emergency Radiology division will be part of a collaborative team providing clinical coverage including a combination of remote shifts for weekday and weekend evening emergency room coverage and in-house weekday shifts, with options for internal moonlighting opportunities. Physician schedules will be tailored to optimize job satisfaction and support sustained division success.

What Were Looking For

  • MD or equivalent degree.
  • Ability to practice medicine in California (medical licensure or eligibility by time of appointment).
  • Fellowship training preferred in Emergency Radiology, Neuroradiology, or Abdominal Imaging (not mandatory).
  • Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, teaching, and research.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 The minimum base salary range for this position is $149,700-$393,200. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. Specific total compensation will be commensurate with qualifications, experience and leadership responsibilities.
