Job Level: Mid Level
Home District/Group: Kiewit Industrial District
Department: Safety
Market: Industrial
Employment Type: Full Time
Position Overview
Reporting to the Medical Manager, the Emergency Response Medic will serve as a key member of the project's Emergency Response Team (ERT), providing hands-on emergency medical response and supporting overall site emergency preparedness for the SMR-X construction program.
This position is intended for an experienced emergency response professional with a background in EMS/EMT, fire service, FEMA or disaster response, industrial emergency response, or a comparable high-risk emergency response environment. The Emergency Response Medic will be prepared to respond rapidly to medical emergencies, traumatic injuries, fires, confined-space incidents, high-angle rescue events, and other emergency situations that may occur within a large, complex construction environment.
The successful candidate will bring strong field-based emergency response experience and the ability to remain calm, decisive, and effective during high-consequence events. In addition to providing direct medical care, this individual will support emergency planning, drills, training, rescue readiness, equipment inspections, and coordination with local emergency services.
This is a hands-on field emergency response position requiring a high level of medical preparedness, situational awareness, physical capability, and the ability to operate effectively within an Incident Command System.
