What You’ll Do

• Be the primary provider in the emergency department, assessing and stabilizing patients
• Float to MedSurg as needed, managing whatever patient populations arrive
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care
• Document all patient interactions accurately in Athena EMR
• Follow protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards, including COVID vaccination exemptions accepted
• Support the team with flexible coverage during busy shifts

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Kansas
• AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Preferably 3+ years of ER experience; open to first-time travelers and those with less experience
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to float assignments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

About the Assignment
This position involves working in a versatile critical access hospital setting that may require covering both ER and MedSurg departments. The ICU team typically maintains a ratio of 1:3, with a maximum of 5:1. The facility supports staff with CNA and LPN assistance and employs Athena EMR for documentation. No mileage restrictions, and COVID vaccine exemptions are accepted.
