    Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Rochester, NH

     

    A healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency setting. This opportunity is ideal for nursing professionals who excel in critical situations, prioritize patient safety, and are committed to delivering compassionate care during urgent and emergent medical events.

    About the Role

    The Emergency Room RN will assess, stabilize, and treat patients presenting with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. Working alongside physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams, this role requires strong clinical judgment, quick decision-making, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity levels

    • Triage incoming patients and determine the urgency of treatment needs

    • Monitor patient conditions and identify changes requiring immediate intervention

    • Administer medications, intravenous therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments as prescribed

    • Assist with emergency procedures, trauma care, and life-saving interventions

    • Operate and interpret patient monitoring equipment, including cardiac monitoring systems

    • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans

    • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

    • Educate patients and family members regarding diagnoses, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up care

    • Promote patient safety while ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the emergency department

    • Support quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness efforts

    Qualifications

    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or ability to obtain

    • Previous emergency, critical care, trauma, or acute care nursing experience preferred

    • Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills

    • Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations

    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
