Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED)

Location: West Chester, PA
Position Type: 13-Week Contract | Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week | 36 hours/week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department to join a high-acuity, mid- to high-volume suburban ED averaging approximately 180–190 patient visits per day.

This is a 13-week assignment while the department recruits for full-time/permanent openings. A temp-to-hire opportunity is available and highly preferred for candidates interested in transitioning into a permanent position.

Patient Population

The Emergency Department cares for a diverse range of patients, including:

• Medical emergencies such as heart attack, stroke symptoms, and sepsis

• Trauma and injury cases

• Respiratory distress

• Abdominal pain and gastrointestinal emergencies

• Neurologic conditions

• Pediatric emergencies

• Behavioral health and psychiatric emergencies

Schedule

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• 3 × 12-hour shifts per week

• 36 hours per week

• Weekend requirement: 1 out of every 3 weekends

• Candidates willing to pick up additional weekend shifts are highly desirable

Requirements

• BSN required

• Active RN license

• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department experience

• Trauma experience preferred, but not required

• BLS required

• ACLS required

• PALS required

• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
