Responsibilities
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations.
Perform rapid patient assessment and triage in the ER setting.
Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions per protocol.
Document patient conditions, treatments, and outcomes accurately in EHR.
Prioritize and manage multiple critical patients during high-volume shifts.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to formulate care plans.
Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in performance metrics, quality improvement initiatives, and pipeline planning.
Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care.
Maintain readiness of ER equipment and ensure inventory control.
Demonstrate ongoing professional development and pursue opportunities for advancement.
Experience/Qualifications
Active California RN license and BLS certification required.
Minimum 2 years ER or acute care nursing experience.
Proficiency with EHR documentation and rapid triage using standardized tools.
Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients during dynamic shifts.
Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification preferred or required.
Strong teamwork with physicians and interdisciplinary staff; effective communication.
Knowledge of hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and career progression.
Participation in quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics.
On-site availability at Fort Bragg, CA; willingness to work varied shifts including nights.
