Job Description:

  • Demonstrates competency in EKGs, cardiac monitoring, and BLS protocols.
  • Monitors cardiac/telemetry status and vital functions of all patients.
  • Performs as a Unit Liaison, including physician communication, maintaining electronic logs, EMS radio support, and coordinating patient transports.
  • Adheres to infection control policies and protocols to protect patients and employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Performs basic skills completely to include but not limited to: patient transport, EKGs, telemetry monitoring, intake & output, vital signs, specimen/culture collection, phlebotomy, dressing applications, oxygen administration via simple airway management (nasal cannula or mask), personal hygiene assistance, chest tube set-up, splint applications, blood glucose monitoring, and foley catheter placement [Required]
• Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language [Required]

Education:
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]


Work Experience:
• 1+ healthcare of field experience [Preferred]


Licenses and Certifications:
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Required] OR
• Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT) [Required]

Pay Range:

$15.87 - $25.38
