About this positionEMERGENCY ROOM TRAUMA TECHNICIANGENERAL SUMMARY :Under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) and ED Attending (MD), the Trauma Technician assists the nursing staff in providing direct, indirect, and environmental tasks to a variety of patients who are accessing emergency services.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIESAccepts/undertakes assignments from Patient Care Coordinator/RN considering unit needs and appropriate clinical experience.Assists in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients by helping them into and out of appropriate clothing.Monitors and records temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and blood glucose in accordance with policy and procedure and documents accurately patient status.Performs 12‑lead EKGs as directed and enters patient information correctly into the EKG system.Performs venipuncture for drawing blood samples.LICENSING AND CERTIFICATIONS REQUIREDEMTCPR: Basic Life Support (BLS) / Healthcare ProviderBENEFITSTuition ReimbursementPTO403(b) matchingMedical/Dental/Vision coverage#J-18808-Ljbffr
