DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian DVMVMD to join our state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital in Portland, Oregon.

DoveLewis is a nonprofit teaching hospital with a collaborative culture and deep community roots. As an Emergency Veterinarian, you will manage diverse ERICU caseloads and have the ability to transfer patients between ERICU and on-site specialty services to ensure exceptional emergency and critical care for walk-in and referral patients.

What you will do:

• Perform initial patient evaluation and medical management of diverse emergency case loads • Manage patient flow across the ER and/or ICU floor • Communicate clearly with clients on diagnostics, treatment plans, and next steps • Build strong working relationships with the referring DVM community

Requirements:

• DVMVMD or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited school or ECFVG certification • Diagnostic and technical skills for emergency and critically ill patients • Ability to be licensed in the state of Oregon • Equivalent combinations of experience and training will be considered

Preferred:

• Commitment to client-centered care and strong communication • Teamwork and interpersonal skills to work in a fast-paced critical care environment
