    We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and skilled Emergency Veterinarian to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated DVM who values delivering exceptional patient care and enjoys collaborating with a team of highly trained specialists. We would love to connect with candidates experienced in emergency practice, newer graduates, or general practitioners with a passion for emergency medicine!

    • State-of-the-Art Facility: Located just minutes from the pristine beaches of Southwest Florida, FVRC is fully equipped with advanced technology to support our veterinary team, including a brand-new CT, extensive in-house diagnostic laboratory, ICU, digital radiology, ultrasonography, laparoscopy, and video endoscopy. Our Emergency Department is comprised of a well-rounded and collegial team of 7 ER clinicians, and we provide specialty care in Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Critical Care through our board-certified and residency-trained specialists.
    • Supportive Teaching Environment: Our hospital has a growing internship and mentorship program; with many of our interns transitioning into emergency clinicians. We offer support and guidance for our doctors to enroll in the Ethos ER ABVP Program, providing a non-residency path to diplomate status for ER careerists!

    In your day-to-day, you will:

    • Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
    • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
    • Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
    • Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
    • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
    • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
    • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

    What You Bring

    • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
    • Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred (or equivalent clinical experience).
    • Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
    • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
    • A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing emergency veterinary medicine.
