This specialty and emergency hospital operates around the clock and blends a busy emergency service with multi-disciplinary specialty care. The team includes board-certified specialists in areas such as surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, and dermatology, creating daily opportunities for collaboration and growth. The facility is purpose-built for advanced medicine and features in-hospital diagnostic imaging and procedures, including CT, digital x-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and endoscopy, as well as radioactive iodine therapy for feline hyperthyroidism. A robust support staff of experienced technicians, assistants, and coordinators is on hand 24/7, with a culture that values teamwork, mentorship, clinical autonomy, and ongoing professional development. Flexible scheduling options, including day, overnight, part-time, and PRN shifts, are available based on hospital needs.

The Role
- Triage, stabilize, and manage emergency cases in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment
- Perform comprehensive examinations, develop diagnostic and treatment plans, and manage inpatients
- Utilize in-house imaging and diagnostic modalities; perform emergency procedures and soft-tissue surgeries as appropriate
- Communicate clearly with clients and collaborate with referring veterinarians
- Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to controlled substance protocols
- Participate in daily rounds, contribute to continuous improvement of clinical protocols, and support team training
- Partner with hospital leadership to promote efficient, high-quality care

Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an accredited institution
- Current license to practice (or eligibility for licensure) in Tennessee
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary emergency setting
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills; excellent client communication
- Authorization to work in the United States
