Eligibility and offerings may vary based on schedule and employment classification.

The Role
- Provide triage and deliver high-quality emergency and urgent care to small animal patients
- Perform and interpret diagnostics using in-house laboratory testing and digital imaging
- Develop and implement treatment plans, stabilize critical patients, and oversee inpatient monitoring
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners about diagnoses, options, and follow-up care
- Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and client service staff to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to efficient case handoffs across shifts
This is a locum/relief position with coverage across a variety of shifts as scheduled.

Requirements
- DVM/VMD or equivalent degree
- Active license to practice veterinary medicine in California (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Emergency medicine experience preferred; motivated new graduates with strong clinical interests considered
- Strong diagnostic skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative, team-first mindset
- Commitment to high standards of patient care aligned with AAHA principles
