We are a prestigious law firm seeking an experienced Permanent Eminent Domain Paralegal to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to our well-established practice, where you will be actively involved in various facets of eminent domain and real estate law. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in drafting pleadings and managing complex cases. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all aspects of the eminent domain and condemnation process, including case management, research, and document preparation.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to eminent domain and real estate law.
  • Conduct legal research and factual investigation to assist attorneys in case preparation.
  • Manage and coordinate appraisals, prepare appraisal summaries and assist in settlement negotiations.
  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all pertinent information is readily accessible and up to date.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
  • Ensure all court deadlines are met in a timely manner.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all client and firm information.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in eminent domain, real estate law, or a related field.
  • Paralegal certification is preferred.
  • Exceptional drafting skills, with a particular focus on pleadings.
  • Strong knowledge of the eminent domain process and real estate law.
  • Excellent research and investigative skills.
  • Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage complex cases and multi-task effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to high ethical standards.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
