We are partnered with a highly regarded regional law firm that is seeking to expand its Employee Benefits Practice with the addition of a Counsel, or Partner-level attorney (no book of business required). This is an outstanding opportunity to join a sophisticated practice that advises a diverse client base on complex employee benefits, executive compensation, and ERISA matters, while benefiting from a collaborative culture and flexible hybrid working environment.The firm is looking for an attorney with at least 10 years of employee benefits experience and strong academic credentials. Candidates should have substantial experience advising employers, plan sponsors, and organizations on a broad range of employee benefits and executive compensation matters. Experience handling benefits issues arising in corporate transactions is essential.Key RequirementsJ.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.10+ years of employee benefits experience gained at a law firm, boutique practice, or in-house legal department.Extensive experience advising on ERISA and employee benefits matters.Strong knowledge of qualified retirement plans, including pension, 401(k), and 403(b) plans.Experience with nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements and executive compensation matters.Significant experience drafting and amending plan documents and related employee benefits documentation.Experience advising on employee benefits issues arising in mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other corporate transactions.Familiarity with health and welfare benefit plans and related compliance requirements.Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and client counseling skills.Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to deliver sophisticated, practical legal advice.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvising clients on a wide range of ERISA, employee benefits, and executive compensation matters.Counseling employers and plan sponsors regarding the design, implementation, administration, and compliance of qualified and nonqualified benefit plans.Drafting, reviewing, and amending retirement, executive compensation, and welfare benefit plan documents.Providing strategic guidance on employee benefits issues arising in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate transactions.Advising clients on qualified pension plans, 401(k) plans, 403(b) plans, and health and welfare arrangements.Assisting clients with regulatory compliance, fiduciary obligations, and evolving legislative and regulatory developments impacting employee benefit plans.Working closely with corporate, tax, labor and employment, and executive compensation teams to deliver integrated legal solutions.Building and maintaining strong client relationships while contributing to the continued growth of a well-established employee benefits practice.This position is available in Boston and offers a flexible hybrid schedule with the ability to work remotely two days per week.#J-18808-Ljbffr
