Compensation

$235,000 – $390,000+

A premier global law firm is seeking an Employee Benefits (Health & Welfare) Associate Attorney to join its Atlanta office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in advising employers, plan sponsors, and organizations on sophisticated employee benefits and health & welfare plan matters.

Ideal Background

3+ years of employee benefits, executive compensation, or ERISA experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience advising clients on health & welfare benefit plans and related compliance matters

• Strong working knowledge of HIPAA, COBRA, the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the Mental Health Parity & Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA), and the No Surprises Act

• Experience counseling employers and plan sponsors regarding ERISA compliance, employee benefits administration, plan design, and regulatory requirements

• Experience reviewing and drafting plan documents, summary plan descriptions, employee communications, and related benefits documentation

• Experience supporting the employee benefits aspects of mergers & acquisitions and other corporate transactions is preferred

• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated advisory matters while maintaining significant client interaction

• Outstanding academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Georgia bar admission required or ability to become admitted
