It is a highly visible position responsible for recruiting exceptional people, creating unforgettable onboarding experiences, strengthening culture, and reducing turnover.

What Success Looks Like

  • Improve 90-day new hire retention.
  • Reduce time-to-fill for open positions.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Maintain onboarding and HR compliance.
  • Build strong partnerships with community leaders.
  • Strengthen employee engagement and workplace culture.

What You'll Do

Recruiting & Hiring

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting from sourcing through offer acceptance.
  • Build talent pipelines through referrals, networking, schools, career fairs, and community partnerships.
  • Create an exceptional candidate experience with proactive communication and efficient hiring practices.
  • Partner with leaders on interviewing, hiring decisions, and workforce planning.
  • Represent Aviva as an employer of choice within the community.

Onboarding & New Hire Success

  • Own the onboarding experience from offer acceptance through the employee's first 90 days.
  • Coordinate pre-boarding activities, employment paperwork, background checks, orientation, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure every new hire has the tools, technology, equipment, and resources needed before Day One.
  • Deliver engaging orientation that connects employees to Aviva's mission, culture, and expectations.
  • Partner with department leaders to develop onboarding and training plans.
  • Conduct Day 1, Week 1, 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-ins.
  • Track onboarding completion, certifications, and required training.
  • Continuously improve onboarding using employee feedback and retention metrics.

Employee Experience & Culture

  • Lead employee recognition, appreciation, engagement, and retention initiatives.
  • Conduct stay and exit interviews to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with leaders to improve morale, engagement, and team performance.
  • Champion Aviva's Core Values in every employee interaction.

HR Partnership

  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Support employee relations, benefits administration, policy guidance, and HR documentation.
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and leaders.
  • Monitor recruiting, retention, onboarding, and engagement metrics and recommend continuous improvements.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, Employee Experience, Healthcare, Hospitality, or Senior Living.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organization with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Passion for creating exceptional employee experiences.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and HRIS/ATS platforms preferred.

Performance Expectations

  • Reduce regrettable turnover.
  • Improve 90-day retention.
  • Decrease time-to-fill.
  • Deliver an outstanding candidate experience.
  • Complete onboarding accurately and on time.
  • Increase employee engagement.
  • Champion Aviva's culture and values.
