PRIMARY FUNCTION: Investigates allegations into employee misconduct and provide summary reports of investigation results.

PAY GRADE: Professional/Technical/Supervisory Non-Administrator Salary Schedule - Grade NG - Salary Range: $56,775.00 to $78,822.00. Salary placement will be based on Douglas County Board of Education approved salary schedules and years of verified relevant experience.

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 231 Days (12 Months)

REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Human Resources

EDUCATION LEVEL: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Personnel Administration, Risk Management or related field preferredd, or combination of training and experience.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum three years general business experience in human resources or related field.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: None

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities. Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; sedentary work involves sitting most of the time; jobs are sedentary if working and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

PROFICIENT SKILLS:

Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment in decision-making.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when dealing with sensitive personnel issues.

Ability to work under pressure in meeting schedules and deadlines.

Computer skills, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications, particularly Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Access).

Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Demonstrate regular attendance and is punctual.

  2. Conducts investigations of allegation of conduct which may be in violation of Board policy, procedure, state law, or federal law.

  3. Writes comprehensive, factual reports of findings resulting from the assigned investigations for use in administrative decision-making.

  4. Works with other government agencies to obtain information appropriate to an investigation.

  5. Communications with Executive Director regarding investigations related to employee conduct which may result in disciplinary action.

  6. Report ethical violations to the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

  7. Oversee the Employment Eligibility process.

  8. Provide Training on investigations.

  9. Upload supplement pay files into Munis database.

  10. Upload changes to local supplement (601) supplements into Munis database.

  11. Provide data to Community relations and Technology of staff lists for School Messenger and constant contact weekly.

  12. Loan Forgiveness and Verifications of Employment.

  13. Assist in providing data files for yearly campaigns such as United Way, CIS and Educational Foundation.

  14. Roll service years forward in Munis database and provide exception reports to specialist.

  15. Roll tenure forward in the Munis database.

  16. MRESA salary surveys.

  17. Assist with data entry for CPI reporting.

  18. Scan hard copy files into TCM system for file management.

  19. Maintain and improve system website.

  20. Roll forward salaries for contracts in the train database and provide specialists with exception reports.

  21. Roll forward salaries for yearly salary increases for 10, 11 and 12 month employee groups and provide certified and classified specialists with exception reports.

  22. Audit for fingerprints.

  23. Process EEO-5 report.

  24. Electronically capture files in TCM system.

  25. Weekly staff list to communications for employee communication.

  26. Run employee list for Technology and Communications.

  27. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Human Resources.
