Job Title: Employee Relations Manager
Location: Fountain Valley, CA (Onsite with 20% travel as needed)
Employment Type: Temp to Hire
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00 - 5:00
Pay: $48-$52/hr.
We're seeking an experienced Employee Relations leader to support a large, multi-state workforce. This role will oversee workplace investigations, employee relations programs, compliance initiatives, and HRBP leadership while partnering closely with business leaders and legal counsel.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop HR Business Partners on employee relations matters, investigations, corrective actions, and terminations.
- Oversee complex workplace investigations and ensure consistent application of company policies and employment laws.
- Partner with leaders and employees to address employee relations concerns, performance issues, and workplace conflict.
- Support employment claims, agency charges, mediations, arbitrations, and litigation matters in partnership with legal counsel.
- Analyze employee relations trends and recommend solutions to reduce organizational risk and improve the employee experience.
- Develop and maintain employee relations policies, procedures, and programs.
- Deliver training related to investigations, compliance, documentation, corrective action, and employee relations best practices.
- Prepare reports, audits, and updates for leadership.
- Travel to field locations as needed to support investigations, training, and employee relations initiatives.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive Human Resources and Employee Relations experience.
- Experience supporting a large employee population, preferably 1,200+ employees.
- Experience supporting multi-state operations.
- Experience leading HR professionals, HR Business Partners, or Employee Relations teams.
- Strong background conducting workplace investigations and managing complex employee relations matters.
- Experience handling disciplinary actions, terminations, and conflict resolution.
- Experience supporting employment claims and litigation matters in partnership with legal counsel.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Ability to work onsite in Fountain Valley, CA, five days per week and travel up to 20% as needed.
Preferred Experience
- Multi-site distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or operational environments.
- Coaching managers through employee relations and performance management issues.
- Developing employee relations programs, policies, and training initiatives.
