Employee Relations Partner - AMS (San Jose)

About the Team: The Employee Relations (ER) team is a global team dedicated to supporting a wide range of employee relations matters, including organization redesign/restructures, performance management, workplace conduct issues, employee injury and death cases, and other complex employee situations.

Our role goes beyond providing consultation and case management. We proactively partner with business leaders, HR teams, and key stakeholders to identify risks, ensure fair and consistent employment practices, and drive solutions while balancing business needs and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Independently manage a full caseload of ER cases across the US and Canada (and support LATAM as needed), including advising on employee discipline, underperformance, terminations, reasonable accommodations, complex leave scenarios and other related matters;
• Assess ambiguous, novel workplace issues and construct a clear path forward when there's no clear policy or precedent to lean on;
• Triage employee complaints to the appropriate workplace investigation teams and lend support and guidance for workplace investigations as needed;
• Support HR/ER related training for people managers and HR;
• Closely collaborate with employment counsel;
• Contribute to scaling ER infrastructure, including systems, policies, and processes that enable efficient and consistent employee relations support.Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Legal or related field;
• 5+ years' experience in Employee Relations. Extensive employee relations expertise and in-depth knowledge of current ER legislation and best practice.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior HR/ER experience in a technology start-up is strongly preferred.
