We are seeking a dedicated Employee Relations Specialist to join our team and be a part of our life-changing mission. This is a full-time position based out of the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin. The hours for this position are Monday- Friday 8:00AM- 4:00PM. The salary range for this position is $70,000- $74,000 based on qualifications and experience.

You will make a difference at Marklund in the following ways:

    • Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations matters across the organization.
    • Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
    • Coach managers on performance management, corrective action, policy interpretation, and employee relations best practices.
    • Partner with leaders to resolve workplace issues while ensuring consistent application of HR policies and employment laws
    • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience:

Human Resources Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree desired
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience desired
  • In-depth knowledge of and ability to apply employment law, regulations and best practices required
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, or ability to quickly learn
