Location: Onsite | The Woodlands, TX 77380

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Employment Type: Temp‑to‑Hire (Contract‑to‑Hire)

Compensation: $43.27/hr - $48.08/hr

Bonus: Eligible upon conversion to direct hire

Job Summary

LHH is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to support a client with a lean, high‑impact Employee Relations function operating in a shared services environment. This role is responsible for managing complex employee relations investigations from intake through resolution, supporting multiple business units.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned employee relations professional who is comfortable operating independently, conducting sensitive interviews, analyzing documentation, and producing clear, well‑structured investigation summaries. This role requires a high level of discretion, strong judgment, and the ability to manage fluctuating caseloads in a fast‑paced environment.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct full‑cycle employee relations investigations, including intake, fact‑finding, interviews, analysis, and resolution

  • Interview complainants, witnesses, and accused parties in the appropriate investigative sequence

  • Review and analyze documentation, policies, and relevant employment laws

  • Prepare clear, concise, and well‑supported investigation summaries for leadership review

  • Manage multiple investigations simultaneously while meeting defined timelines and quality standards

  • Utilize anonymous ethics hotlines and investigation management systems to document, track, and resolve cases

  • Partner closely with Employee Relations leadership and HR stakeholders across the organization

  • Maintain strict confidentiality, professionalism, and objectivity throughout the investigative process

  • Adhere to established investigation templates, procedures, and documentation standards

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 5+ years of hands‑on Employee Relations experience

  • Proven experience conducting independent investigations from start to finish

  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. labor and employment laws

  • Experience using ethics hotlines and/or investigation management systems

  • Excellent written communication skills, including formal investigation documentation

  • Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and sound professional judgment

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM certification or active pursuit of HR professional development

  • Legal, compliance, or risk‑management background

  • Experience supporting shared services or multi‑entity organizations

Pay Details: $43.27 to $48.08 per hour
