About the Position
The Employee Services Manager provides leadership and oversight for East Mississippi State Hospital's employee services functions and performs advanced professional human resources work in support of staffing, recruitment, and personnel operations. This position is responsible for managing a broad range of human resources activities, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, position management, classification support, and the development of recruiting strategies to support organizational hiring needs. The Employee Services Manager serves as a liaison between departments, leadership, and Human Resources to support workforce planning, ensure timely and accurate personnel processes, and promote compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The position also supervises assigned staff, provides operational oversight, and supports the effective delivery of employee services across the hospital.

To be successful in this position, the employee must demonstrate strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to manage complex employee services operations in a timely, accurate, and service-oriented manner. The employee should be able to develop effective recruiting strategies, oversee staffing and onboarding processes, communicate clearly with applicants and leadership, and ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Success in this role also requires professionalism, confidentiality, attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to support organizational staffing goals.
Preferred Qualifications
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience. Agency preferred qualifications: Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in human resources, business administration, public administration, management, or a related field. Professional experience in recruitment, onboarding, staffing operations, position management, or other human resources functions is preferred. Supervisory experience and experience in public sector, healthcare, or state government human resources operations are also preferred.
