A premier global law firm is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Employment Associate Attorney to join its New York office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing employers—including emerging growth companies and venture-backed startups—on sophisticated employment counseling, litigation, and workplace compliance matters.

Ideal Background

5+ years of labor & employment experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience representing employers, including early-stage, growth-stage, and venture-backed companies, on day-to-day employment law matters

• Experience counseling clients regarding wage and hour compliance, employee terminations, reductions in force, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, worker classification, and employee relations

• Experience drafting and reviewing employment agreements, executive employment agreements, offer letters, employee handbooks, compensation plans, restrictive covenant agreements, separation agreements, and workplace policies

• Experience managing single-plaintiff litigation, complex employment litigation, and administrative proceedings involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, wrongful termination, trade secrets, restrictive covenants, and unfair competition

• Strong knowledge of New York State and New York City employment laws, as well as federal employment laws

• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated employment matters while maintaining significant client interaction

• Business-minded approach to advising clients and developing practical legal solutions

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

New York bar admission required
