Employment Associate
Join a well-regarded employment practice representing employers across diverse industries. This role blends employment litigation with hands on counseling, giving you regular exposure to complex workplace disputes, compliance challenges, and strategic advisory projects.
We're looking for an attorney who thrives on variety someone equally at home arguing a case in court and advising a client on a sensitive personnel issue and who's ready to build direct client relationships in a fast-moving practice.
Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of employment litigation, covering discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, restrictive covenants, and breach of contract claims
Represent employer clients before state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies
Counsel clients on employment law compliance and best practices for the modern workplace
Draft and review workplace policies, employment agreements, and employee handbooks
Lead internal investigations and help design and deliver employment related training
Partner with colleagues and clients to craft pragmatic, risk conscious solutions to workplace challenges
Qualifications
JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
Admitted (or eligible for admission) in Massachusetts
4+ years of employment law experience at a law firm or similar setting
Demonstrated experience litigating employment matters and counseling employers on compliance
Track record drafting employment related policies and agreements
Hands-on experience conducting workplace investigations and supporting training initiatives
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Sound judgment, strong problem-solving instincts, and close attention to detail
Proven ability to juggle multiple matters while collaborating well within a team
