A well-respected Minneapolis-based law firm is seeking a talented Employment Law Attorney to join its growing management-side labor & employment practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to develop deep expertise in employmentlitigation while working within a collaborative, mentorship-driven team environment.
Position Overview
The selected attorney will represent employers in a wide range of employment matters, including litigation and advisory work. The practice handles sophisticated disputes and provides strategic counseling to business clients across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Defend employers in employment-related disputes involving:
- Discrimination claims
- Wage and hour matters
- Retaliation claims
- Harassment allegations
- Wrongful termination actions
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Conduct depositions and participate in mediations and hearings
- Provide day-to-day employment counseling to management clients
- Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and partners on complex matters
Qualifications- 3-5 years of employment law experience
- Litigation experience in employment disputes preferred
- Plaintiff-side experience will be considered
- Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage cases with increasing autonomy
- Minnesota bar admission (or ability to obtain within one year of employment)
