Job Details

You'll step into a diverse caseload, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour and get real ownership from pleadings through trial. This isn't a firm looking for someone to just fill a seat; they want an attorney who's sharp, strategic, and ready to build strong client relationships.
What you'll be doing:

Managing a varied caseload of employment defense matters (wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, and more)
Handling all phases of litigation pleadings, discovery, trial, and appeal when needed
Advising clients directly and keeping them in the loop every step of the way
Drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery responses backed by sharp legal research
Appearing at hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
Leading settlement negotiations and ADR to get clients the best possible outcomes
Teaming up with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to keep cases moving smoothly

What you bring:

JD from an accredited law school
Active California State Bar membership
4+ years of employment defense litigation experience
Solid grasp of CA state and federal court procedures
Strong writing and communication skills
Independent, detail-oriented, and a true team player

Bonus points for:

Class action or complex litigation experience
Trial experience
A knack for building lasting client relationships
