As one of our partners puts it: “Every day I start work knowing the cases we take change people's lives — and that the firm has my back to fight as hard as necessary to win for our clients.” We are looking to hire attorneys who share that commitment — creative, strategic, and independently motivated self‑stunners who are sharp legal thinkers, strong writers, and fierce advocates, and who enjoy interacting closely with clients and colleagues.What You'll Do:Handle plaintiff‑side employment discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower, and wage and hour matters from intake through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery; conducting and defending depositions; opposing summary judgment; representing clients before administrative agencies (EEOC, NYSDHR, etc.) and in state and federal court; preparing for and representing clients at mediations; and counseling clients directly throughout their cases with the compassion and responsiveness Goddard Law is known for.What We're Looking For:Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar required (admission in NJ, CA, or MA is a plus)3–8 years of litigation experience, with substantial experience representing plaintiffs in employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, or related civil rights mattersExtensive experience conducting depositions, opposing summary judgment, and appearing in courtExcellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skillsAbility to manage a substantial caseload independently while collaborating closely with our teamA demonstrated passion for employee rights and civil rights advocacyWage and hour experience a plusFamiliarity with Clio Manage, Clio Grow, Syllo, or Kenect a plus, though not requiredCompensation:$130,000–$250,000 per year, depending on experience, plus biannual performance‑based bonuses, case origination compensation awarded (not no requirement to originate), and annual raises subject to performance.Benefits:Health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with employer match after one year of employment; life insurance; voluntary short‑and long‑term disability insurance; two weeks of vacation time annually; 40 hours of Safe and Sick Leave annually; and parental leave.Schedule:Employees are expected to bill 40 hours per week, with no annual billable hour requirement.
