Employment Experiences Operations Assistant
Provide program and clerical support for the Employment Experiences Office. Assist college employees and on and off campus student workers with student employment operations. This position functions on campus and in office to best serve our stakeholders. Remote work is unavailable.

Essential Functions
- Responsible for many day-to-day operations of the Student Employment Office.
- Collecting and processing federal, state, and college student employment forms, such as I-9's, W-4's, student employment contracts, timecards, etc. in accordance with the rules and regulations of the College, EE Office and Federal and state governments.
- Assisting students and supervisors with technology functions including timesheet submissions, reporting, tracking and troubleshooting in myBC and ADP.
- Responsible for resolution of student and employer problems/questions through phone calls, emails, and walk-in traffic.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating files and record keeping systems.
- Working closely with the Business Office while utilizing the technology systems to ensure all student employees are paid properly and on time.
- Reviewing student enrollment reports to confirm student hire eligibility.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with all relevant college, state and federal regulations/policies regarding student employment.
- Supervise and train student staff. This includes assigning tasks, scheduling hours, and overseeing daily functions.
- Assist in providing training for student supervisors.
- Understand basic procedures/regulations of Payroll and Human Resources and enforce those procedures/regulations in relation to student employees.
- Assist as needed in other events or operations of the Employment Experiences office.

- Satisfy the duties of a Mandated Reporter relating to Title IX and the Bethel College Equal Opportunity, Harassment, & Non-Discrimination Policy and Procedures (as directed following the completion of basic employee training).

Education and/or Experience
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of four years of relevant work experience.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
Skills Required
- Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills.
- Experience with various computer software applications such as Microsoft Office and/or equivalent.
- Data entry experience.
- Typing and spelling competency with grammar and proofreading skills.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience to successfully provide quality customer service.
- Demonstrated experience to successfully work independently, organize and prioritize own work and coordinate work activities of others to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience to successfully handle multiple demands efficiently.
- Demonstrated experience to successfully navigate challenging situations in the workplace, while using good judgement.
- Ability to successfully maintain positive intercultural and interpersonal relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree of higher and/or Higher Education experience.
- Experience in Student Employment procedures; working knowledge of federal and state labor laws.
- Supervisory experience.
- Training experience.
- Experience in customer service.
Physical Demands
- Minimal lifting (up to 40 lbs.) and reaching.
- Operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, and printer for extended periods of time.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one classroom or building location to another.
- Ascending and descending stairs.
- Ability to perform tasks both sitting and standing for extended periods of time.
- Ability to function well in a standard office setting.
- Medium/indoor work environment.
