Employment & Labor Associate Attorney
Direct Counsel is seeking an Employment & Labor Associate Attorney with 1–3 years of experience to join a leading law firm with a strong national platform and a highly respected employment practice.
About the Role:
This position offers hands-on, substantive work across a wide range of employment matters. The ideal candidate brings broad experience and strong judgment, along with an interest in growing within a dynamic and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all phases of employment litigation, including case development, legal research and writing, discovery, witness interviews, and brief drafting
- Provide employment counseling on policies and practices, statutory and regulatory compliance, and employment/separation agreements
- Work closely with partners and senior attorneys, with opportunities to mentor junior associates
- Contribute to a practice that values initiative, teamwork, and high-quality client service
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of employment law experience
- Strong academic credentials and excellent legal writing and communication skills
- Demonstrated motivation, initiative, and professionalism
- Active California Bar admission required
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $225,000–$260,000, depending on location and experience
