Employment Counsel – Litigation Specialist
Our client is seeking an experienced Employment Counsel with a strong background in litigation to join their San Diego, CA office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to represent employers in a variety of employment-related litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and other complex legal issues. The ideal candidate will have 2-9 years of experience, be barred in Georgia, and demonstrate a deep understanding of employment law.
Key responsibilities include:
- Represent employers in all phases of employment litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and appellate proceedings.
- Provide counsel to clients on employment law compliance, risk management, and litigation avoidance.
- Handle a diverse caseload involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and more.
- Draft and argue motions, conduct depositions, and engage in mediation and settlement negotiations.
- Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with clients' business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure exceptional case management and outcomes.
Qualifications include:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the California State Bar (required).
- 4+ years of experience practicing employment law, with a focus on litigation.
- Proven ability to handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and courtroom advocacy.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.

The yearly salary range for this position is $230,000 – $270,000. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
