Employment Litigation Attorney

Kaufman Dolowich LLP is seeking a talented and driven Employment Litigation Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join our growing Employment Practices Group in Hackensack, New Jersey. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a collaborative and nationally recognized firm with more than 250 attorneys nationwide.Our Employment Practices Group represents employers in complex and high-profile employment matters across a broad range of industries. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation, research, writing, and advocacy skills, with experience independently managing sophisticated employment matters through all phases of litigation.ResponsibilitiesIndependently manage all phases of employment litigation from inception through resolutionDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation-related filingsConduct and defend depositionsAttend and advocate at court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and other proceedingsHandle matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, restrictive covenant matters, and other employment-related claimsAdvise and counsel employers on workplace issues, employment law compliance, personnel matters, and risk management strategiesManage discovery, motion practice, expert coordination, and case deadlines in both state and federal courtsDevelop litigation strategies, provide practical legal counsel, and maintain strong client relationshipsCollaborate with partners and clients to achieve favorable outcomes and deliver exceptional client serviceQualificationsMinimum of 5 years of employment litigation experienceAdmission to practice in New Jersey required; New York admission is a plusExperience handling matters in state and federal courtDemonstrated experience drafting and arguing motions, conducting depositions, and representing clients in mediations and arbitrationsExcellent legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and communication abilitiesAbility to independently manage an active caseload and prioritize competing deadlinesSuperior academic credentials and strong attention to detailExperience counseling employers on employment law compliance, workplace policies, and risk mitigation strategies preferredWhy Join Kaufman Dolowich?Opportunity to work on sophisticated employment litigation matters with a nationally respected teamCollaborative and entrepreneurial culture with strong mentorship and supportSignificant opportunities for professional growth, client development, and advancementHybrid work flexibilityUnlimited PTO for AttorneysCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageRobust discretionary and billable-based bonus opportunitiesBase Salary Range: $160,000 - $195,000Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer.
