Kaufman Dolowich LLP is seeking a talented and driven Employment Litigation Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join our growing Employment Practices Group in San Fransisco, California.This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and entrepreneurial team within a nationally recognized law firm of more than 250 attorneys nationwide. Our Employment Practices Group partners with employers across a broad range of industries, handling complex employment disputes, labor matters, workplace investigations, and high-exposure wage and hour litigation. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation, advocacy, and client-management skills, with experience independently managing sophisticated employment matters through all phases of litigation.ResponsibilitiesIndependently manage all phases of employment litigation from inception through resolutionDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation-related filingsConduct and defend depositions and participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and other dispute resolution proceedingsAttend and advocate at court appearances, hearings, arbitrations, administrative proceedings, and trialsHandle matters involving employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, PAGA claims, and other employment-related mattersRepresent employers in investigations and proceedings before federal, state, and local agenciesAdvise and counsel employers on workplace issues, employment law compliance, personnel matters, and risk management strategiesManage discovery, motion practice, investigations, and case deadlines in both state and federal courtsCommunicate directly with clients, provide strategic guidance, and maintain strong client relationshipsCollaborate with attorneys across offices and practice groups to develop litigation strategies and achieve favorable outcomesQualificationsAdmission to practice in California requiredMinimum of 5 years of employment litigation experienceExperience handling employment litigation matters in both state and federal courtsDemonstrated experience drafting and arguing motions, conducting depositions, and managing complex litigation mattersExcellent legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and communication skillsAbility to independently manage an active caseload and prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to exceptional client servicePreferred ExperienceEmployment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination litigationWage and hour litigation, including collective actions, class actions, and PAGA mattersTraditional labor law matters and labor-management relationsInvestigations before the U.S. Department of Labor, California Department of Industrial Relations, California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, EEOC, and state and local human rights agenciesExperience appearing before the National Labor Relations Board in matters involving union organizing, collective bargaining, unfair labor practices, representation proceedings, and labor arbitrationsOpportunity to work on sophisticated employment and labor matters with a nationally respected teamCollaborative and entrepreneurial culture with strong mentorship and supportSignificant opportunities for professional growth, client development, and advancementHybrid work flexibilityUnlimited PTO for AttorneysCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageRobust discretionary and billable-based bonus opportunitiesMeaningful client contact and hands‑on litigation experience from day oneBase Salary Range:$155,000 – $215,000Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer.
