Employment Transactions Attorney (Professional Track) - Atlanta Direct Counsel is seeking an Employment Transactions Attorney to join a leading global firm in its Atlanta office. This is a professional track (non-partnership) role within a highly regarded Corporate/Private Equity practice, ideal for an attorney with 2-4 years of company-side employment law experience and an interest in transactional work. About the Role
In this position, you will serve as the junior attorney responsible for employment-related components of M&A transactions, including:
Conducting employment diligence
Supporting employer-side counseling on day-to-day matters
Drafting employment-related provisions and agreements
Providing research and analysis on a range of labor & employment issues
Strong performance in the role can lead to additional opportunities within the broader corporate and private equity practice, allowing you to deepen your skill set and grow your client portfolio. Key Responsibilities
Review employment policies, agreements, and compliance materials during transactional diligence
Draft and revise contracts, employment terms, and related documents
Communicate effectively with partners, clients, and deal teams
Manage deadlines and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
Collaborate across teams and participate in ongoing training and development
Support pro bono matters as part of the firm's community engagement
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school
Minimum 2 years of employment law experience (company-side preferred)
Interest in transactional work, particularly M&A
Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Prior large law firm experience preferred
Work Environment
Hybrid schedule with regular in-office presence

Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $150,000 - $300,000, depending on experience and geographic market. The firm also offers a full benefits package, including medical/dental/vision coverage and a 401(k).
