Role Summary

• Support the reliable and compliant operation of Waters Empower CDS within a regulated laboratory environment.
• Provide hands-on administration, upgrades, instrument connectivity, troubleshooting, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support the Waters Empower CDS suite.
• Manage:
  • User accounts
  • Access and permissions
  • System configuration
  • Troubleshooting
  • System maintenance
• Plan and execute Empower upgrades, including:
  • Upgrade planning
  • Testing
  • Deployment
  • Post-upgrade stabilization
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrument connectivity with Empower.
• Support:
  • Acquisition clients
  • Acquisition nodes
  • Instrument interfaces
  • Laboratory infrastructure
• Perform Lab System Administration activities.
• Monitor and maintain system availability and performance.
• Manage:
  • Incidents
  • Service requests
  • Problems
  • Changes
• Follow ITIL processes for incident and service management.
• Execute and document system changes through established Change Control processes.
• Ensure compliance within a regulated GxP environment.
• Collaborate with:
  • Laboratory users
  • Infrastructure teams
  • Vendors
  • IT teams
  • Other stakeholders
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues.

Required Qualifications

• 4–8 years of relevant experience supporting:
  • Laboratory informatics systems
  • CDS systems
  • Lab systems
• Strong hands-on experience with Waters Empower CDS.
• Working knowledge of the Empower suite of applications.
• Demonstrated experience supporting or executing Empower version upgrades.
• Strong understanding of Empower instrument connectivity.
• Experience with:
  • Laboratory instruments
  • Acquisition clients/nodes
  • Instrument interfaces
  • Laboratory infrastructure
• Experience in Lab System Administration.
• Production support experience.
• Working knowledge of:
  • ITIL
  • Incident management
  • Change control
• Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated GxP environment preferred.
