What your day looks like:

POSITION SUMMARY: 

This role is responsible for inventory management, warehouse compliance, shipping and receiving coordination, transportation logistics, food safety standards, and warehouse team leadership. The ideal candidate will ensure products are handled efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all customer, regulatory, and quality requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Monitor and maintain correct inventory levels.

  • Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound freight with carriers, customers, and internal sales teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

  • Monitor warehouse cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

  • Remain on call as needed.

  • Review business practices and procedures for efficiency and optimization of operational activities.

  • Track shipments from dispatch through delivery, resolve shipment discrepancies, and ensure accurate and compliance transportation documentation.

  • Monitor freight costs and analyze carrier performance metrics to support cost control and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Reinforce company safety policies and promote a zero-accident culture.

  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Director of Commercial Operations.
  • Partner with the Director of Commercial Operations in the development and management of transportation budgets and warehouse activities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain operation preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or agricultural operations highly desirable
  • Strong detailed organizational ability
  • Problem-solving and process improvement
  • Ability to work varied hours and be “on call”
  • Working knowledge of inventory forecasting, supply chain coordination, and material planning
  • Proficient inn Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of logbook regulations and completion
  • Knowledge of varied state and DOT truck laws
  • Valid CDL-A license beneficial (not required)
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (50# cases of eggs, skids)
  • Good communication skills
