Job Summary

Jefferson Community and Technical College is seeking an adjunct instructor who will provide part-time didactic and clinical instruction while supporting student success through academic advising, curriculum development, and coordination of clinical placements. This position is for the fall semester 2026.

Job Duties:

The role also includes maintaining accurate records in compliance with JCTC and accreditation standards, participating in college service, and engaging in ongoing professional development.

  • Part-time didactic and clinical instruction in the program
  • Academic advising for current and potential program students
  • Program course and curriculum development
  • Internal service to the college via committee participation and engagement as a faculty member
  • Continued growth as an instructor via professional development
  • Coordination and monitoring of student clinical placements at local healthcare facilities
  • Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records according to all JCTC and accreditation policies and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by the program coordinator and Dean of Allied Health.

Minimum Qualifications:

EMT adjuncts

  • EMT Certification (KBEMS)
  • Level 2 instructor credential (KBEMS)
  • CPR instructor (AHA) - if not already certified, must be obtained within one year.

Preferred Qualifications:

An associate degree or higher

Knowledge of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA); college policies, procedures, and practices.
