Duration: 6 months contract

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provide first aid treatment and make referrals to outside medical providers when necessary
  • Monitor and promote injury prevention through education and proactive engagement
  • Maintain detailed records of all care provided to associates
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work programs for injured associates
  • Prepare daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports
  • Engage with associates and leadership to coach on safe work habits and risk reduction
  • Keep the medical area clean and ensure medical supplies are stocked and ready
  • Participate in and sometimes lead training sessions for First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications
  • Work flexible shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Assist with emergency response and random drug testing protocols
  • Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist emergency response at the site.
Additional Job Elements include:
  • Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
  • Work in an environment where the noise level varies.
  • Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments).
  • Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)
For those that do not have an adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, must obtain within 3 weeks of start date.
 
Basic qualifications:
  • High School or equivalent diploma; AND
  • Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by an approved emergency cardiac care (ECC) provider; AND
  • Current valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Paramedic Certification from the Department of Health OR the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with an industrial wellness program
  • Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics, and coaching on body mechanics
  • Demonstrated work experience with OSHA regulations and Workers Compensation
  • Proficient in digital record keeping
Daily Schedule:
Position 1 – FHN
Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday | 6:00 PM – 4:30 AM
Training: On shift (same schedule as the regular shift)
Position 2 – Donut Mid-Shift
Shift: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday | 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Training: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
