Ro Health is looking for a dedicated EMT to join our healthcare team at a correctional facility in Los Lunas, NM!
This position plays a vital role in providing essential healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and therapeutic environment within the facility.
Details:
- Location: Los Lunas
- Shift: 6pm-6am
- Schedule: Fri-Sun
- Employment Type: Contract
Qualifications:
- Valid NM EMT Certificate
- Ability to pass a strict background check
- TB test
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic emergency medical care to inmates
- Respond to medical emergencies (overdoses, assaults, cardiac events, withdrawals)
- Perform assessments, vital signs, and patient triage
- Assist with intake medical screenings for new inmates
- Administer first aid, CPR, AED, oxygen, and approved medications per protocol
- Organize and maintain medication carts and ensure proper labeling and storage.
- Complete all required medication documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with facility and state regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized medication area in accordance with facility standards.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards
- Supervise and support LVNs, CNAs, and other healthcare staff
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with facility guidelines
