An experienced Emulate3D Simulation Engineer to support short-term, remote project work focused on validating PLC programs for automated conveyance systems. This role will leverage Emulate3D’s modeling tools and existing component libraries to build simulation environments, test control logic, and ensure system functionality prior to deployment.

Required:
  • Hands-on experience with Emulate3D
  • Proven experience building simulation models using existing libraries/blocks (not full custom development)
  • Strong understanding of PLC programming and logic validation
  • Experience working with conveyance, material handling, or automated systems
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, short-term contract environment
  • Must have access to your own licensed version of Emulate3D
Preferred:
  • Experience with PLC platforms such as Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 or Siemens TIA Portal
  • Background in virtual commissioning or digital twin environments
  • Prior experience supporting warehouse automation, distribution centers, or manufacturing systems
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and configure 3D simulation models using Emulate3D with existing/pre-built blocks and components
  • Integrate simulation models with PLC programs to validate control logic and system behavior
  • Perform virtual commissioning and troubleshooting of conveyance and material handling systems
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues within PLC logic through simulation testing
  • Collaborate with controls engineers and project teams to ensure alignment between simulation and real-world system design
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve system performance, reliability, and efficiency
  • Document simulation results, test scenarios, and identified issues
Pay Range: $60/hr.+.
