An established organization is seeking an early-career IT professional to support a large Windows desktop environment and assist with day-to-day PC management. The role will provide hands-on exposure to workstation deployment, hardware and software support, asset management, security patching, and broader enterprise IT initiatives. Strong communication skills are important, particularly when assisting employees with varying levels of technical experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle management of Windows-based workstations and related equipment.
Assist with desktop software deployments, application updates, connectivity issues, and version management.
Troubleshoot workstation, peripheral, and software-related issues and provide basic technical support.
Guide end users through technical solutions using clear, easy-to-understand instructions.
Support enterprise Windows upgrade initiatives, including workstation preparation, OS deployment, and user/data migration.
Help ensure desktops and laptops receive required security updates and critical patches.
Maintain accurate IT asset records and support improvements to PC inventory management.
Configure and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other workstation peripherals.
Maintain documentation for deployments, support activities, and equipment changes.
Collaborate with IT teams on desktop management and infrastructure improvement projects.
