Travel Registered Nurse (RN) –Surgery | Endoscopy | Medical-SurgicalPosition SummaryWe are seeking experienced and adaptable Travel Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our healthcare team for temporary assignments across a variety of clinical settings. This position is open to nurses with experience in Operating Room (OR), Endoscopy (Endo), and Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) units. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, flexible professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care while quickly adapting to new facilities and care teams.Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in accordance with facility policies and evidence-based practices.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Educate patients and families regarding treatments, procedures, medications, and discharge planning.
Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards.
Float to comparable units as needed based on facility requirements and competency.
Maintain professionalism while adapting quickly to new environments and workflows.
Specialty ResponsibilitiesOperating Room (OR)
Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment.
Circulate and/or scrub during surgical procedures based on experience and competency.
Maintain sterile technique and support the surgical team throughout procedures.
Ensure patient safety before, during, and after surgery.
Endoscopy
Prepare patients for diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
Assist physicians during GI and specialty endoscopy procedures.
Monitor sedation recovery and post-procedure patient status.
Provide patient education regarding preparation and recovery.
Medical-Surgical
Manage a diverse patient population with acute and chronic medical conditions.
Administer medications and treatments.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and coordinate discharge planning.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact multistate license (where applicable).
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Minimum of 1–2 years of recent clinical experience in Operating Room, Endoscopy, Medical-Surgical, or related acute care specialty.
Current BLS certification required.
ACLS certification preferred or required based on assignment.
Specialty certifications (CNOR, CGRN, CMSRN, etc.) are preferred but not required.
Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous travel nursing experience.
Experience with multiple EMR systems.
Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments.
Excellent teamwork and patient-centered care skills.
