Position Overview:
We are seeking an Endocrinologist to join an established multispecialty, outpatient practice in East New York, Brooklyn. This practice is a strong, cohesive team with a deep passion for helping others stay healthy, collaborating cross-functionally with a focus on cardiology and patient-centered care. Qualifications:
MD or DO from an accredited institution.
Active NY State medical license.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology.
Must be working with or associated with a hospital setting.
Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, empathy, patient-centered focus, and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and manage a wide range of endocrine disorders including diabetes mellitus, thyroid diseases (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, nodules, cancer), osteoporosis, pituitary and adrenal disorders, and metabolic syndromes.
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, and interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic tests.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management (insulin, thyroid hormones, etc.) and lifestyle modifications.
Order and interpret specialized endocrine testing such as glucose tolerance tests, thyroid ultrasounds, fine-needle aspirations, and hormone level assays.
Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, dietary modifications, and preventive care.
Collaborate with cardiologists, primary care physicians, and other specialists within the multispecialty practice to ensure coordinated, comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
Stay current with advancements in endocrinology research, treatments, and technologies.
