Job Overview

The Physician will be engaged in an outpatient environment, focusing primarily on diagnosing and treating patients with various illnesses, injuries, and disorders related to the endocrine and metabolic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial consultations to gather information about patients' symptoms and medical histories.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans, which may include prescribing medications.
  • Accept referrals from other healthcare providers and collaborate with specialists as needed.
  • Provide counseling to patients on managing their conditions, including guidance on diet, exercise, and lifestyle choices.
  • Create, maintain, and regularly update patient records.
  • Engage in continuing education and review professional literature to stay current with advancements in endocrinology.
Compensation and Benefits

  • Recruitment Incentive: Sign-on bonus available.
  • Salary: Competitive pay with annual performance bonuses and regular salary increases.

Work Schedule

The typical work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, although this may vary based on the needs of the service or medical center.

Contract Buy Out Program

This position may qualify for the Physician/Provider Contract Buy Out Program (CBOP), which allows for the buyout of service contracts (including locum agreements, loan repayments, and sign-on bonuses) in exchange for employment at specific rural or highly rural facilities for a minimum of four years.
