We are seeking an Full-time Endoscopy Technician that is skilled, compassionate, professional, and is committed to providing excellent quality care. As a member of the endoscopy team you will be trained to function in an assistive role while delivering safe patient care including: pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively.
Monday-Friday. No weekends, No holidays and No call.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Outgoing, positive attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians.
- Ability to think critically, make logical decisions, and solve problems.
- Strong ethical and moral character references
- Proficient and respectful communication skills.
- Basic computer skills
- BLS Certification Required.
- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Endoscopy Technician Certification, preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates an attitude that is caring, respectful, sensitive, tactful, compassionate, empathetic, and tolerance.
- Provides a safe environment for the patient.
- Promotes patient and physician satisfaction.
- Assists in preparing patient for designated procedure as requested by physician.
- Assists physician during endoscopy procedure.
- Handles patient specimens per policy.
- After the procedure, restocks supplies as appropriate for the next procedure or end of the day.
- Works collaboratively with the healthcare team.
- Assures high level disinfection and/or sterility of instruments and supplies according to policy and procedure.
