Required Skills
- Proven experience in reprocessing endoscopy scopes and instruments
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control protocols
- Ability to accurately document sterilization procedures and monitor equipment functionality
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable following strict hospital and departmental procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to handle call rotations as needed
Nice to Have Skills
- Certification in Central Sterile Processing (CSPDT or CRCST)
- Experience working in a hospital or outpatient surgical setting
- Familiarity with endoscopy equipment and related biomedical devices
- Ability to troubleshoot sterilization equipment and perform basic maintenance
Preferred Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior endoscopy or sterile processing technician experience preferred
Other Requirements
- Current BLS certification
- Willingness to participate in call shifts approximately once or twice a month, with potential for additional requests based on departmental needs
- Ability to work standard hours from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday
- Travel allowance and reimbursements available if applicable
