Gastro Health is seeking a Full-Time Endoscopy Technician to join our team!

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a motived, dependable Endoscopy Technician to join out newly constructed in-office endoscopy suite in Framingham, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate is flexible, proactive, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment where responsibilities may evolve as our practice grows. As an Endoscopy Technician with Gastro Health, you will:

• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure safe and efficient endoscopic procedures.
• Assist physicians and nursing staff before, during, and after procedures while providing a safe, supportive environment for patients.
• Monitor patient needs throughout the procedure and promptly report concerns or changes to the Registered Nurse or Nurse Manager.
• Clean, disinfect, inspect, and maintain endoscopy equipment in accordance with infection prevention and safety standards.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain endoscopy and patient monitoring equipment.
• Help maintain adequate inventory levels of supplies and equipment.
• Accurately complete required documentation and maintain endoscopy records.
• Recognize the limits of the Endoscopy Technician role and promptly communicate situations requiring nursing or physician intervention.
• Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and errors in accordance with established policies.
• Participate in quality improvement, infection prevention, safety, and materials management initiatives.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Follow established policies, procedures, and the direction of supervisors and physicians.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

• High school diploma is required.
• At least two years' experience in some aspect of the medical field to assure familiarity with medical terminology.
• GI experience preferred.
