The range for the role is $23.90 - $29.91 hourly.

Responsibilities:

The Endoscopy Technician performs assigned patient care tasks and other related unit duties defined and delegated under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse and maintains a safe patient area to deliver quality and efficient health care.  The Endoscopy Technician participates in the daily plan of care for the patients in accordance with established policies and procedures. Functions as a team member in the Endoscopy Department and performs a variety of duties related to Endoscopy Patients and the daily operations of the unit, to include cleaning and maintenance of equipment, preparation and assisting with procedures.

 

 

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:                                      

High School diploma or equivalent required
Successful completion of a recognized Nursing assistant (NA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical assistant Program required.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

 

Minimum Experience:                                    

One (1) year experience in a healthcare facility working in a clinical area required
One (1) year of prior Endoscopy Technician or Central Sterile experience within the last two (2) years preferred.

 


Required Certification/Registration:          

Basic Life Support (BLS) required
CER or CFER certifications preferred. If not certified upon hire must obtain CER or CFER certification within two (2) years from date of hire.

 

Physical Requirements:  

Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking. Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients. Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.

 

Working Conditions:

Environmental Demands and Exposure to Hazards: Works in a clean, well-lighted, heated or ventilated facility.  No routine exposure to hazards.
Physical Demands: Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment. Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking. Ability to lift 10 lbs.
Mental Demands: Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks. Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility. Ability to multi-task. Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations. May be subject to irregular hours including evenings or potentially weekends to participate in operational and community events as necessary.
