GENERAL OVERVIEW

Functioning within the Health Systems mission values objectives and policies and procedures the Sr. Endoscopy Technician is a part of the medical team that uses endoscopes to diagnose andor treat gastrointestinal problems. The Endoscopy Technician Sr. demonstrates proficient competency in assisting the physician with the case assists with education training and competency assessment of Endoscopy Technicians and other staff and interacts effectively with the patient and the healthcare team to provide safe effective treatment for the patient. The Endoscopy Technician Sr. also acts as an endoscopy service line lead for inventory management and assists management in advancing programs as it relates to instrumentation supplies equipment and quality assurance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs all job responsibilities of an Endoscopy Technician. Knowledgeable of gastroenterology physiology pathophysiology and procedural techniques being performed and assist accordingly. 50

Acts a day to day resource for all Endoscopy Technicians. 20

Demonstrates competency of procedures equipment and instrumentation per applicable department policies and procedures. 10

Orients and trains new staff and students. 10

Maintains supplies and equipment. Assures the integritycondition and availability of adequate equipment. 10

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum3-5 years experience as an Endoscopy Technician

CPR - American Heart Association

Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate

Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
